Will my account number change after the merger?
Yes. Your account number will change after the merger.

How to perform transactions without knowing my new account number?
You can perform transactions with your existing account number. However, in case you want to know the new account number, you may visit your nearest branch for the same.

Do I have to replace cheque book?
No. the existing cheque leaves will remain valid for performing transactions. After the existing cheque book is used new cheque book will be issued with new account number.

Will the existing ATM/ Debit/ Credit card work or do they need to be replaced?
Your existing ATM/Debit/Credit Card issued by the erstwhile Bank of Kathmandu Limited will continue to work till their expiry date. If you require any assistance regarding the cards service, kindly contact ebanking@gibl.com.np and card@gibl.com.np

What will happen to the standing instructions applied on my accounts?

The existing standing instructions will be continued.

What will happen to my locker if the branch where I had rented locker is closed?
Your locker rental will continue. However, in case where a branch of erstwhile BOK is closed, it is either relocated or merged to a nearby branch of the bank.

What will happen to my existing mobile banking/ internet banking?
Mobile banking app of erstwhile BOK will cease to operate. Download Global Smart Plus from app/play store and login using your BOK mobile app username and password. You can also reset your password and pin using “Forgot Password” option in Global Smart Plus”. Link: - https://rebrand.ly/smart-plus Erstwhile BOK Internet Banking are registered to Global Online. I am using QR code service as a merchant of erstwhile BOK for my business transactions. Will this same QR code be used for new transactions?
Yes, you can use the same QR code to accept payments from your customers.

Do I have to provide KYC details again (post-merger)?
You will need to update your KYC details only it your account has been deactivated due to pending KYC.

Will DEMAT account transactions be affected in anyway?
No, DEMAT services and transactions will not be affected in any way. If you have registered CRN from erstwhile Bank of Kathmandu Limited, your CRN and Account number will be changed. The new account number will be shown while applying for future IPO and the CRN will be same as new account number.

Whom to contact in case of any query, complaint or support?
Nearest branch for physical visits and you can call any branch and ask for customer service desk for any query. Contact numbers of branches are provided in the Bank’s website (www.globalimebank.com)

I have account in both the banks (BOK and Global IME Bank) and now I am not able to use mobile banking app of any of these banks.
Mobile banking users with duplicate mobile banking number in Global IME as well as erstwhile BOK Bank may face login issue. In such case, one of their savings accounts need to be closed. For this, you have to visit the branch, close the account and ask the branch to activate the mobile banking app of the active account.

Can I perform transaction using BOK mobile app?
If you try to use BOK Bank mobile app, a message will be displayed to download Global Smart Plus mobile banking app, which you have to download from App/Play store. Username, password and transaction PIN that you used in BOK mobile app will work in Global IME Bank mobile app. Link:- https://rebrand.ly/smart-plus

For customers who have not registered in mobile banking or forgotten their password.
Customers can self-register or set new password through Global Smart Plus. Details required for mobile banking are: a. Registered mobile number (mobile number should be the same as provided in account opening form) b. Account number (Either BOK account number or new Global IME Bank account number can be used) c. Legal document number (citizenship number/ Date of Birth), whichever was provided during account opening.

I received a message regarding transaction limit in Global Smart Plus.
During registration, customers are provided with minimum transaction limit. If provided limit is not sufficient, you may visit the nearest branch or contact our Card & tech based payment support team (977-1-4226247+977-1-4228671) for limit enhancement.
